Jim Tugman from near Dundee is one of our newer members and owns a 1989 Mini 30 which he bought for his daughter 7 years ago who when she was 17 and had just passed her driving test. She drove it to school for her last 4 months there. She was always the centre of attention especially on visits to petrol stations, where, in her words old men would spend 30 plus minutes talking about their previous minis. He put a rear sub frame on 4 years ago. Unfortunately it failed a MOT 2 years ago and has been stored ever since. It needs replacement sills, front floor panels, A panels and wings. Jim is teaching himself to weld with plenty of practice on sheet metal at the moment. He is grateful fro the warm welcome he has had from fellow club members and for all the advice he has received

A few of our members are making the trip to Selkirk this weekend for our last show of the season and sadly we believe the last ever Selkirk show. Some are making a weekend of it and some are going down on Sunday morning. As ever we would be delighted to see any visitors on the day.

Another busy weekend for our members. Saturday and Sunday will find some of our vehicles on display at the Dundee Flower and Food Festival in Camperdown Park. On Sunday we will be attending one of our favourite shows Farming Yesteryear and Vintage Rally at Scone Palace. Come along to both events and chat to us about our vehicles.
