First sighting of the Kitten!
Despite my promises, I've still not managed to update this site as often as I'd like. I returned to work this week after 3 weeks off. Always a stressful experience - I think I need another holiday.
The picture below shows the first presentation of the new Geordie Hampton Glamis trophy, as kindly donated by Brian Pirie. The trophy is voted for by Club members and presented to the best car on the Club stand on the Sunday at Glamis.
First winner is "raving reporter" Jimmy Gould with his recently acquired Reliant Kitten. Congratulations Jimmy!!

Members car
Pic below shows the1983 Ford Granada 2.8 Ghia i Executive, owned by new Club member Graham Brown.

Situation vacant - volunteer required.
I have left this bit on because I assume we are still needing a newsletter editor. Or am I wrong? Forbes has carried out this function brilliantly for several years but says the next issue will be his last. I am sure anyone willing to give it a go would get a wee bit of help / tuition from Forbes. Any volunteers - please contact Mary.

Classic For Sale
I have been asked to put up an advert for the following classic car:-
For Sale: An excellent Triumph Vitesse Convertible Mk1. Straight six 1.6 litre engine, 4 speed gearbox, in light blue with a black stripe. 1963 with a 1965 plate, one previous owner. A much loved car, it has been professionally restored by Triumph specialists with a new chassis and bodywork. It has been waxed and sealed underneath so there is no rust on chassis or bodywork. New hood and stainless steel exhaust. The interior is not restored and could use a little work on the upholstery. The car runs very well and is fantastic to drive - perfect with the hood down on a sunny day. Just recently MOT'd to April 2011.
Car is located near Brechin. Price £3,100.

Your car as artwork - A service to club members!

The picture above shows my car after Club member Gordon Baird has worked his computer magic on it. I think these are really nice images, and I'm planning putting a picture on a mug.
Gordon has said that he will come and take a picture of your car, and then turn it into one like mine (above ) or his (below). The process takes a fair amount of time. Price would be £10 to club members, and £15 to anyone else.
Anyone needing further information should contact Gordon by email at gordonbaird2@sky.com or phone him. His number is on the Membership list.

Lookout request
Can members please be on the lookout for the following caravan. It is a Wilk Royale 5 Star and belongs to a friend of mine. Unfortunately it was recently stolen from a storage facility near Arbroath. The caravan is very unusual and the owner reckons there are only one or two in Scotland. You can see that it's fairly distinctive with its large panel windows.
Any information regarding its location, or possible sightings would be very welcome.
