Thanks to Ian Hotson for some pictures of his cars - a 1989 Mercedes 190, and his 1996 Mercedes C280 Sport. Lovely......

Any member who has not sent or given me pictures of their cars, please get in touch. I am hoping to put more members cars pictures and members pages up. I'm thinking about giving the website a whole new look. As always, suggestions, articles, adverts always welcome.

VISIT TO GLASGOW TRANSPORT MUSEUM - SATURDAY 31ST MARCH 2012

The Club are organising a bus trip to Glasgow Transport Museum on Saturday 31st March 2012. Some members have already confirmed that they will be attending but there are still spaces available. The bus will be leaving Forfar about 0815am, and then picking up people in Dundee at 0845am. The prices is likely to be £10 per head, with the Club covering some of the bus hire costs.

TAYSIDE CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW 2012 - SUNDAY 10TH JUNE 2012

Planning is already under way for our Annual Club Show. Our 2012 Show is being held this year on Sunday 10th June 2012 at Errol Airfield, between Perth and Dundee. Thanks to the very great support from Classic Car enthusiasts, Classic Car Clubs from all over the Country, and a good number of people who visit our Show, we find it is getting bigger and better every year!

Last year we were quite lucky with the weather. After a dull and damp Saturday, Show day turned out to be dry. We had a large number of visitors, and ultimately raised and donated over £4100 to local Charities.

Returning Clubs, owners and visitors - We hope to see you again at our 2012 Show!

Anyone who has not visited our Show before - please come along. This is a great opportunity to get close up to all those Classic cars that are hardly seen these days!

CHAIRMAN DAVE NICOLL TO STAND DOWN

Club Chairman Dave Nicoll has announced that he intends to stand down from the Chairman's role after two years in the post. Dave is still going to be in the Club but after 20 years as the Events Man, and then straight into two years as Chairman, Dave feels the time is right to take a well deserved back seat.

Congratulations Dave, and Thanks for all that you have done for the Club since it's formation. A hard act to follow.............

FOR SALE - TWO CLASSIC CARS

I have been contacted by Bob Sturrock from Dundee, who has reluctantly decided that the time has come for him to sell his two Classic Cars - a Jaguar XJ6 Series II Coupe (auto), and a Mercedes Benz 420SL.

CHEQUE PRESENTATION TO WIKTORIA

Picture below shows Mike Rooney and Gordon Smith presenting a cheque to Wiktoria Mucha and her parents Aneta and Tomasz. Wiktoria has Cerebral Palsy been over to America for specialist surgery. Also looking on is Anne Campbell.

CHEQUE PRESENTATIONS AND PICNIC

A cracking day, a fair turn out of members and cars for this years cheque presentations. It was really nice to meet some of the families that will be helped by our efforts. Then we were off to Carmyllie Hall ( it was warm! ) for a lovely lunch and a good blether.

CHEQUE PRESENTATION TO BROOKE

Picture shows a cheque being presented by Club members Dave McGill, Dave Black and Neil Findlay to Brooke Ramsay, from Carnoustie. Brooke is seven years old, and has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Her family and friends are in the process of raising funds towards the cost of an operation that will give her the ability to walk better, and improve her balance and co-ordination.

Also shown in the photo are Mike Leitch, dad Stewart Ramsay, and Brooke's twin sister Amy.
